• The VAWS V4.0 cannot recognize my vehicle by AutoVIN, does it mean the device is faulty?: Not at all. AutoVIN depends on individual vehicle ECU protocols. If AutoVIN skips your car, simply use the Manual Selection mode—all diagnostic and service functions will work perfectly. Meanwhile, please send your VIN to our support team; we will verify it and add it to our database in the next software update.
• DTCs can be read normally but fail to be cleared or reappear after clearance, why?: Please keep ignition on and engine off. Record freeze frame data first before clearing codes. Persistent hardware faults need physical repair prior to code clearance. Some fault codes of systems like SRS and ABS can only be cleared after finishing bidirectional tests.
• The scanner powers on but fails to establish a diagnostic connection. What causes this issue?: Please check the following steps to troubleshoot:
