Development Background
All FCA vehicles after 2018 feature SGW security gateway modules to prevent unauthorized access via the OBD2 port, protecting the vehicle network from CAN bus attacks. The FCA 12+8 cable bypasses this module by connecting directly to the SGW’s 12-pin and 8-pin connectors, enabling normal communication.
How to Use
- Locate and unplug the 12-pin and 8-pin connectors of the SGW module.
- Connect the FCA 12+8 cable to the 12-pin and 8-pin connectors on the vehicle.
